Week ahead: AI chip and software earnings, a Warren deadline for Anthropic, and Kimi K3.1 Pro weights
Palantir, AMD, Supermicro and Qualcomm report between Monday and Wednesday, and Moonshot says Kimi K3.1 Pro's open weights land on November 4.
Covers 2026-11-01 – 2026-11-07
The first week of November is mostly about AI earnings. Palantir, AMD, Supermicro and Qualcomm have all set report dates, and on the model side Moonshot says the open weights for Kimi K3.1 Pro arrive midweek. Every item below has a date stated by the company involved or by the person who set it. Nothing here is a prediction.
Monday, November 2: Palantir reports Q3
Palantir said it will release third-quarter 2026 results after the U.S. market close on Monday, with a webcast at 5:00 p.m. ET (company release, via Yahoo Finance). In its Q2 release the company guided Q3 revenue to $2.160–$2.164 billion and adjusted operating income to $1.292–$1.296 billion (Q2 release, SEC filing). This is the first look of the week at how much enterprise AI software spending is turning into revenue.
Tuesday, November 3: AMD and Supermicro, plus a deadline for Anthropic
AMD reports fiscal Q3 2026 after the close, with a call at 5:00 p.m. ET (company release, via Yahoo Finance). Its own guidance was about $13 billion in revenue, plus or minus $300 million, and a non-GAAP gross margin of about 56% (Q2 release, SEC filing). Most of the attention will be on its data-center GPU business, the main alternative to NVIDIA for training and inference capacity.
Supermicro holds its fiscal Q1 2027 call the same day at 5:00 p.m. ET. In a preliminary update on October 20, the server maker estimated quarterly revenue at $18.5–$19.5 billion, against earlier guidance of $14.5–$15.5 billion, and attributed the gap mainly to demand for AI platforms (8-K exhibit). Those figures are unaudited, and the company says they may change. Tuesday will show whether they hold.
November 3 is also the date by which Senator Elizabeth Warren asked Anthropic to answer her letter about the AI safety and financial risks disclosed in its IPO registration statement, according to CFO Dive's report, republished by Yahoo Finance. The deadline is a request from a senator, not a legal requirement, and Anthropic does not have to reply publicly. Promptea could not open the letter itself on the Senate Banking Committee site, so the details here come from that report.
Wednesday, November 4: Qualcomm results and Kimi K3.1 Pro weights
Qualcomm will post its fiscal Q4 and full-year 2026 results after the close and hold a call at 1:45 p.m. PT (PR Newswire release). Apart from handsets, the numbers will show how far its push into on-device AI and data-center chips has turned into revenue.
The same day, Moonshot says it will publish the open weights of Kimi K3.1 Pro, which has been available only through its apps and API since late October. VentureBeat reports the November 4 date as Moonshot's own commitment. Promptea could not open Moonshot's announcement directly, so this rests on that report. VentureBeat lists API pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. The license terms for K3.1 Pro had not been published at the time of that report.
What this means if you build with these models
Most of this week is about infrastructure, and it won't change how you prompt anything. The Kimi release is the exception. If the weights ship on schedule, teams that can host a very large mixture-of-experts model will have another near-frontier option they can run on their own hardware. Before choosing it over an API model, read the license and check the hardware you would need. Moonshot's benchmark claims are still mostly its own.
What we left out: anything with only a rumored or analyst-estimated date. That includes reported timelines for Anthropic's IPO pricing, which the company has not announced.
Why this matters
- Four earnings reports in three days will show whether AI demand is still turning into revenue for chipmakers, server builders and enterprise software.
- If Kimi K3.1 Pro's weights ship on November 4, teams that can host a very large open model will have another near-frontier option to run themselves.
Key takeaways
- Palantir reports Q3 on Nov 2. AMD and Supermicro report on Nov 3, and Qualcomm reports on Nov 4, all after the U.S. market close.
- Supermicro's preliminary quarterly revenue estimate of $18.5–$19.5 billion is unaudited and gets tested on Tuesday.
- Moonshot's November 4 open-weights date comes from press reporting, and K3.1 Pro's license terms have not been published.
